COURSE DESCRIPTION: “This course develops student understanding of forces, motion, and gravity; energy and momentum; electricity and magnetism; and waves. Students will perform laboratory investigations to develop an understanding of the characteristics and quantitative relationships that are associated with energy and matter. The course emphasizes experimental design, the use of technology to collect and analyze data, and the use of algebra and geometry to solve problems.”
TOPICS: Mechanics: Motion (linear & circular) Forces (statics & Dynamics) Energy and momentum Rotation Gravity Vibration Waves Electricity TEXTBOOK: The course text is CONCEPTUAL PHYSICS (Hewitt) |
